Job summary

Jamestown Place Health and Rehab is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Jamestown, OH. The role follows federal, state, and local guidelines and operates under established procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing menus, partnering with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services, and ensuring adherence to food safety policies. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, and background checks are required for employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year supervisory dietary/food service experience preferred.
• Ability to pass background check.

Position Summary

The Dietary Cook prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to food preparation and prepares the meals.
• Works with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.
• Performs other duties, as assigned. Ensures that food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Performs administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submits to the Dietitian/Director of Food Services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).
• Must be able to successfully pass background check.
