Job summary

Jamestown Place Health and Rehab is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in all food functions in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. You will collaborate with the facility's Dietitian/Director of Food Services, ensure proper food service, and help with meal delivery and kitchen sanitation.

The role involves food tray preparation, portion control, and maintaining a clean, safe dining and kitchen area in alignment with established policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to successfully pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all food functions in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Works with Dietitian/Director of Food Services and implements changes as required.
• Assists with service and delivery of food trays to designated areas.
• Cleans kitchen areas and washing of utensils and dishes per policy.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as directed.
• Serves meals according to portion control procedures.
• Ensures meals are appetizing and palatable and served timely.
• Assists in daily cleaning duties and sanitizes work areas.
• Sweeps and mops floors as directed.
• Cleans utensils, dishes, and cooking items as required.
• Cleans garbage area and maintains a hazard-free workspace.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas; distributes menus.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• The dietary aide works with the facility’s Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.
• Performs other duties, as assigned. Ensures that food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• The dietary aide assists with the service and delivery of food trays to designated areas, cleaning of the kitchen per established protocols, and proper washing and cleaning of food utensils and dishes.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as directed.
• Serves meals in accordance to established portion control procedures.
• Serves meals that are appetizing and palatable in appearance. Serves meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assists in daily cleaning duties as assigned to include work tables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers in accordance to established policies and procedures.
• Sweep and mops floors as directed.
• Washes and cleans utensils, dishes and cooking items according to established policies and procedures.
• Carries out garbage and keeps the work area clean, dry and free of hazards.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Collects and distributes menus as instructed.
• Other duties as assigned.
