Job summary

Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook in Henderson, Tennessee. You will help prepare, serve, and tailor meals for residents while following established dietary procedures and supporting daily food service operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and may prefer 1 year of dietary or food service experience. Join a team-focused environment dedicated to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food procedures are followed per established policies.
• Complete administrative forms, reports, and submit to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals, bedtime snacks, and substitute meals as needed.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and maintain stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in all forms.

Dietary Cook Position Summary

As a Dietary Cook at Henderson Health and Rehab, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:

• Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.


• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submit to the Dietary Manager.


• Assist in establishing food service production line to assure meals are prepared on time.


• Prepare and serve meals, prepare bedtime snacks, and serve substitute meals and/or snacks as necessary.


• Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment are maintained at adequate levels.


• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.


• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Dietary Cook Requirements

• High School Diploma


• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred
