Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC is hiring a Dietary Cook in Tennessee. You will prepare meals following federal, state, and local guidelines and company policies, under the direction of the Food Services Director. The role includes maintaining quality service and ensuring safety and sanitation in a resident-focused kitchen.

The position offers daily pay and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Candidate should be reliable, patient, and capable of working in a team to meet dietary needs of residents.

Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm for handling residents.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct health or safety threat.

Responsibilities

• To prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation, with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Food Services Director or designee, to assure quality food service is provided at all times.
• Assist with daily kitchen operations to meet resident needs while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

JOB DUTIES:

To prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation, with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Food Services Director or designee, to assure quality food service is provided at all times

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Basic understanding of following step-by-step procedures.
• Follows and understands written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
