Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare meals in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and our established policies to assure quality food service at all times.

The role requires independent decision-making, tactful communication with residents and staff, patience and enthusiasm, and the ability to follow written and oral directions while maintaining safety and respect for the elderly.

Qualifications

We are looking for a talented and hard-working Cook to join our ever-growing team.

JOB DUTIES:

To prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation, with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Food Services Director or designee, to assure quality food service is provided at all times

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Basic understanding of following step by step procedures.
• Follows and understands written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
