Job summary

The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and to follow the Food Services Director’s directions to assure quality food service is provided at all times.

Responsibilities include preparing therapeutic diets, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining sanitation, and ensuring quality service in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Ability to manage and direct staff.
• A physical examination and/or evidence from a physician indicating freedom of communicable disease to be available upon employment.
• Must be in good physical and mental health.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Effectively communicate with others.
