Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Dietary Clerk to ensure accurate completion of patients' diet orders, edit menus per the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics manual, obtain patient menu selections, and relay needs to the production team while assembling and delivering food trays to patients.

This role requires reading/writing and arithmetic, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently with good prioritization. Knowledge of basic nutrition for modified diets is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic.
• Good interpersonal/communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients’ diet orders are completed accurately.
• Edit menus per the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Manual.
• Obtain patient menu selections, communicate needs to production team, assemble and deliver food trays following safety guidelines.
