Job summary

Heritage Valley Health System is seeking a High School Dietary Opportunity worker in Nutrition Services. Casual, varied shifts include days, nights, weekends and holidays; you will assist with meal assembly, tray-line stations, dish room duties and patient cart transport.

This position requires reading, writing, basic computer skills and customer service. Candidates should be at least 16 and currently in high school; clearance within 90 days may be required.

• High school diploma or GED is a plus; 16+ and in high school.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient meals and work all tray line stations.

Department: Nutrition Services

Work Hours: Casual, varying days and night shifts, weekends and holidays.

Performs duties within the department including assembly of patient meals, working all tray line stations, works in the dish room, transporting patient carts, and performs pot washing duties. Function collaboratively in a team environment with production and patient services staff.

Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and understand written and verbal instructions. Must possess basic computer skills. Requires customer service skills.

Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Preferred: Previous work experience in the food service field. High school diploma/GED a plus
