Job summary

Guthrie in Sayre, PA is seeking a part-time dietary team member to support patient tray service and maintain cleanliness in the dietary and cafeteria areas.

The role requires basic reading and writing, good communication, and willingness to learn sanitation procedures; previous food service experience is desirable. This position works about 25 hours per week with responsibilities across food preparation, cart transport, dishwashing, and keeping areas neat and safe.

Responsibilities

• Performs functions of a food service helper according to department policy and procedure.
• Prepares assembly line station for patient tray service in a timely manner.
• Assembles food items for patient tray service according to marked menu.
• Transports food carts to and from designated areas on patient floors in a safe and timely manner.
• Collects garbage in Dietary and Cafeteria areas and transports to compactor/incinerator in a timely manner.
• Scrapes and washes all dishware from patient trays and employee cafeteria according to department sanitation procedures.
• Scrubs and sanitizes all pots and pans and organizes in designated area.
• Utilizes proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.
• Demonstrates age specific communication skills.
• Maintains a neat, clean and sanitary work area.
