Job summary

Smoky Ridge Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in meal prep and dining service for residents. You will help maintain a clean, safe dining environment and support residents' nutritional well-being.

Responsibilities include meal prep and serving, tray delivery, sanitation, and adherence to dietary restrictions. A high school diploma is preferred, and teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of special diets and food allergies is helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must pass background check and health screening per facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks according to posted menus and dietary restrictions.
• Set up dining areas and deliver trays to residents’ rooms as needed.
• Ensure all kitchen and dining areas are clean, organized, and meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment used in meal preparation and service.
• Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing food and supplies.
• Follow proper food handling, portioning, and storage procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers to promote a positive dining experience.
• Report any issues with food quality, resident concerns, or kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain compliance with all regulations and facility policies.

Full Time 12pm-8pm, every other weekend
