Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a food service worker to assist in preparing and serving meals for children and staff under supervision. The role includes assembling foods, making sandwiches, and helping with coffee and beverages, following standard procedures.

Qualified candidates will read and write English, follow written and oral instructions, and have two to three months of related experience. Work is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Assembles foods, makes sandwiches, and prepares beverages.
• Prepares between-meal nourishment and lunches for staff and night workers.
• Sets up serving line and portions food for staff or children.
• Receives instructions and sources ingredients from storeroom and fridge.
• Washes and prepares fruits and vegetables and prepares salads.
• Maintains cleanliness and disposes of trash following safety policies.
