Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and represent the department when serving food or collecting monies.
• Grammatical and mathematical abilities to read recipes, prepare products and count money to make change.
• Up to one month on-the-job training and experience to become familiar with job routine.

Responsibilities

• Set up coffee shop menu boards daily to identify availability and cost for customers.
• Program and operate computerized cash register for that day's menus and prices.
• Receive cash and make change according to items purchased.
• Stock salads, deli bars, and dairy/donut cases with fresh items and maintain displays.
• Prepare cold sandwiches, desserts, salads and vegetables as per policies and recipes.
• Serve food to hospital employees and visitors following sanitation procedures.
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and assist with next day setup.
