Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management in Raleigh, NC seeks a Food Service/Nutrition Assistant to support the Food and Nutrition Manager in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting. You will plan and oversee meals, ensure nutrition standards, supervise cooks and aides, and collaborate with HR on benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year supervised food service experience in an institutional setting with focus on planning, preparing and servicing regular and therapeutic diets is required.
• Dietary Managers Association coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Food and Nutrition Department in a long-term care and Skilled Nursing Center.
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food to residents and patients.
• Ensure all meals meet the nutritional needs of residents and patients.
• Oversee the department's cooks and aides to ensure the Dietary Program complies with State and Federal Regulations.
