Job summary

ExcelCare Norwood is seeking a compassionate Dietary Assistant to join our culinary team. You will assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines, deliver trays to resident rooms, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment for residents.

You will follow portion control and sanitation procedures, support special dietary needs and resident preferences, and work closely with dietary and nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident meals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines.
• Deliver trays to resident rooms and dining areas.
• Follow portion control and sanitation procedures.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and dishware.
• Assist with food storage and inventory rotation.
• Provide snacks and hydration as directed.
• Support special dietary needs and resident preferences.
• Work collaboratively with dietary and nursing staff.
