Job summary

Excelcare Health Management, a provider of rehabilitation and healing services, is seeking a reliable Dietary Assistant to join our Lewes team. You will support meal service, assist with food preparation, and help maintain a clean, safe dining area for residents.

As a Dietary Assistant, you will follow dietary guidelines, deliver trays, assist with portion control, sanitation, and accommodate resident preferences.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in food service or healthcare settings is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods.

As a Dietary Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines, delivering trays to resident rooms and dining areas, and following portion control and sanitation procedures. You will also clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and dishware, assist with food storage and inventory rotation, provide snacks and hydration as directed, and support special dietary needs and resident preferences.
