Job summary

Barre Gardens is seeking a dependable Dietary Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Barre, VT. You will work with dietary and healthcare professionals to provide quality food service for residents, following dietary policies and safety standards.

The position offers full-time, part-time, or PRN shifts with an hourly rate up to $22. Vermont relocation incentives and education assistance are available. Previous dietary or food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• We are now accepting applications for 16–17-year-olds (conditions apply).
• Previous dietary or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Dependable and committed to residents' service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner.
• Assist the cook with meal preparation and food production.
• Serve food trays from carts and dining rooms and transport them to the dishwashing area.
• Clean worktables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Follow all dietary, sanitation, and infection control policies.
• Assist with kitchen cleanup and other dietary duties as assigned.
