Job summary

South Pointe Rehabilitation & Care Center in Oklahoma City seeks a compassionate Dietary Aide to support our resident meals and nourishment programs. You will prepare trays, assist with special diets, deliver meals, and maintain a clean, efficient service area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Covid vaccination required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Professionalism and ethical conduct.
• Strong communication skills.
• Respect for residents and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Prepare and deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Prepare special diet foods as necessary.
• Deliver food carts to patient care units; return carts to kitchen on schedule.
• Load and oversee dishwashers and log wash/rinse temperatures.
• Wash specified items by hand (pots, pans, knives).
• Dispose of trash and garbage properly.
• Put clean dishes and utensils away.
• Mop floors as scheduled and necessary.
• Clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas; log temperatures daily.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned by Dietary Supervisor.
• Maintain good working relationships within the department and with other departments.
• Treat residents and guests with respect and dignity.
• Observe infection prevention practices.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Support resident safety and minimize health-care errors.
