Job summary

Providence Medical Center is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide in Wayne, NE. The role supports tray-line set-up, patient tray assembly, and dishwashing duties, ensuring proper diet orders and sanitary practices. Three 8-hour shifts weekly with rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities include maintaining tray-line cleanliness, operating the cafeteria cash register, and assisting with general food service tasks as needed to support patient meals and dining services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Some experience in food service, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up the tray line and check prior to meal service to assure that it is ready for efficient and complete service of trays.
• Place food on trays according to menu and diet regulations.
• Keep the tray line sanitary and neat throughout the break or mealtime service.
• Work the charging station/cash register in the tray line area of the cafeteria.
• Deliver nourishments and patient trays to suites as required.
• Assist cook and dishwasher as needed and maintain dining area cleanliness.
