Job summary

Atlas Healthcare, LLC seeks a Dietary Aide to provide superior service to Residents and staff in a healthcare setting. You will assist in meal prep, tray assembly, and the sanitation of the dietary department, ensuring high-quality nutritional services.

The role requires you to work in a health care facility open 24 hours with rotating shifts, including holidays and adverse weather. Candidates should be capable of lifting items over 20 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Provide superior customer service to Residents and employees.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary dietary department.
• Assist in the preparation of food to ensure quality of nutritional services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals and beverages.
• Prepare trays according to diet cards to meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Assist with loading food trucks and delivering to units, clean pots/pans and kitchen after service.
• Bag and store food items as directed.
• Clean and wrap silverware and inspect for cleanliness.
• Bus and clean tables after meal-time.
• Wash, rack, and inspect dishes and utensils for cleanliness.
• Operate and assist in dish-washing processes.
• Sort and store clean dishes and utensils.
• Set up tables with linens, silverware, and water.
• Dispose of waste in proper containers following sanitation rules.
• Keep work area free of hazards and ensure equipment is stored properly.
• Report equipment malfunctions and supply needs to supervisor.
• Report hazardous conditions and incidents to Dietary Supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with Residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attend meetings and in-services as directed.
