Job summary

ArchCare is seeking a part-time food service worker to prepare meals following therapeutic menus in our care community in New York. You will handle sanitation, portion control, and proper storage while supporting residents and staff with a warm, respectful dining experience.

Requirements include at least 6 months of experience and a High School Diploma or GED. The role offers a daytime shift from 7:00 am to 3:15 pm and benefits appropriate to a long-term care provider.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for the posted menu.
• Prepares food using sanitary techniques.
• Prepares special diets following standardized recipes to meet therapeutic menu guidelines.
• Complies with long term care regulations and dietary procedures.
• Assists in receiving and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Communicates and cooperates with staff, residents and families.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Complies with facility policies.
