Job summary

Pearl of Elgin is hiring a Dietary Aide to perform designated work and cleaning routines in the dietary department under the Dietary Manager. The role includes assisting in meal prep and service, meeting meal times, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, ability to read recipes and follow diet orders, and a willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions. COVID vaccination is required and punctuality is expected.

Qualifications

• High School graduate; institutional dietary service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined dietary work routines with utensils, supplies and equipment.
• Assist cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and dietary policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain sanitation standards.
• Set up dining room, serve meals and manage tray cards.
