Job summary

Pearl of Hinsdale is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Department by performing routine food preparation, service, and sanitation tasks. The role requires following diet orders and tray cards, and supporting the cook to ensure timely meals for residents.

The position emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and adherence to safety and HIPAA policies, with a $250 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required for dietary service roles.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders and tray cards.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with interruptions.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination for meal prep and cleaning.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined dietary work and cleaning routines as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Assist cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times and follow regulations and policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and operate dietary equipment safely.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, serving meals, and stocking supplies.
• Maintain sanitation and compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
