Job summary

CRISTA Senior Living in Silverdale, WA seeks a Dietary Aide to provide Christ-centered dining service for residents. You will set up dining areas, take orders, portion meals, and assist with special diets while maintaining HACCP standards and a friendly, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Food Handler’s permit.
• Read, write, communicate and interpret English at a functional level.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food experience in related field.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take food orders from residents and deliver their food in a courteous manner.
• Prepare and portion meals according to menus and dietary guidelines.
• Serve food and beverages in the dining room or deliver meal trays to rooms.
• Assist with preparing special diets as directed.
• Clear and reset tables for the next service.
• Maintain knowledge of food handling and infection control (HACCP) to keep a sanitary dining area.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services; complete annual training.
• Assist with catering and special events as assigned; train new employees.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Stock food, supplies and beverages; ensure safe operation of equipment.
