You will assist with meal prep, serving, and hospitality while following safe food handling, sanitation, and portion-control standards in a long-term care setting.

Experience not required; a Food Handler's card is often required and the role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and communication with residents,

Qualifications

• Food handlers' card required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must have fundamental understanding of sanitations, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to tactfully communicate with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Follows safe food handling guidelines and storage standards.
• Prepares meals using standard recipes and portion controls.
• Assists with serving meals and maintaining dining areas.
• Performs daily cleaning of kitchen and equipment and sanitation procedures.
• Supports other staff to ensure timely production and service.
• Performs kitchen close duties as assigned.
