Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in serving meals to patients, visitors, and staff across the lifespan. You will handle orders, uphold hygiene and safety standards, and support daily dining operations in a hospital setting.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work weekends and holidays, and maintain excellent customer service while following HACCP and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Weekend and holiday work required.
• Rotating schedule/shifts based on needs.
• Preferred: experience with nutrition/dietetics and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and take orders for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Prepare food items according to portion, garnish, plate, and service standards.
• Maintain clean, organized dining areas and kitchens; operate and sanitize equipment.
• Handle cash register and transactions as assigned; follow cash handling procedures.
• Adhere to HACCP, HIPAA, and sanitation guidelines; ensure safety and quality in food handling.
