Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Dietary Aide in Las Cruces, NM to assist in patient and staff meals within a nursing center environment. You will help cooks, prepare nourishments, desserts, salads, and beverages, and ensure proper portioning and labeling.

Adherence to production sheets and procedure guidelines is essential for smooth service. Strong communication and basic sanitation knowledge are important, with prior food service or long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to read and understand English for business purposes.
• Basic sanitation, organization and safety understanding.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
