Job summary

South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support its care team. Athena Health Care Systems oversees the facility; the role offers a 3p-7p shift with $16/hour and weekly pay.

No experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided. Duties include following diet cards, serving temperatures, timely meal delivery, sanitation, and assisting the cook with service times.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to follow oral and written communication.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in dining areas.
• Willing to handle residents with patience and tact.
• Desire to learn and adapt dietary practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow therapeutic diet cards as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure proper serving temperatures of food and beverages.
• Assure timely delivery of meals.
• Maintain the visual appeal of food and use garnishes effectively.
• Assist the cook with meal serving times and station upkeep.
• Adhere to sanitation and storage policies.
