Job summary

The Rawlin at Riverbend Memory Care in Springfield, OR is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support the dining team and ensure high-quality meal service for residents.

Responsibilities include assisting with basic food prep, delivering meal trays, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and following safety and sanitation guidelines while respecting residents' privacy and dignity. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• English language proficiency required.
• Prior food service or dietary experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and portioning.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and adherence to sanitation standards.
• Deliver meal trays to resident neighborhoods and assist with meal distribution as needed.
• Support kitchen operations during meal service, including restocking and light cleaning tasks.
• Assist with special events or community functions as needed.
• Adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure residents are treated with privacy, respect, and dignity at all times.
• Follow standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Complete all state-required training upon hire and annually.

• Support kitchen operations during meal service, including restocking and light cleaning tasks.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.
• Prior experience in food service, kitchen support, or dietary roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods as needed for kitchen operations.

Job Type

• Hours: 20–25 hours/week
• Availability: Must be available to work weekends.
