Job summary

Harrison Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Part Time Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will serve meals, assist in meal preparation, and maintain a clean dining environment for our residents. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and the ability to work well with the elderly, demonstrating patience and integrity.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Must meet general health requirements including medical examination.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Part Time Dietary Aide

Responsibilities:

• John B Parsons Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers etc.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Dishwashing.
• Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
• Set up for dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Assist cook in preparing meals.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Assist in checking diet meals before distribution.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
• Serve food in dining room as instructed.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed
• Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, in-service training programs, etc., as directed.
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
• Ability to perform duties with consideration for residents' rights at all times and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents and in handling their health information.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills.
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which include a medical and physical examination.
• Must be able to push pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
