Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, service, and cleanup for patients and staff in a nursing center and at special events. You will assist the cook, label nourishments, and portion foods according to procedures, while following production guidelines to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, basic sanitation and safety understanding, and prior food service or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• The dietary aide candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate
