You will follow dietary guidelines, help with food preparation, and ensure safe, sanitary dining areas in a collaborative team setting. Prior experience in healthcare or food service is desirable; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualificações

• Experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food production, meal preparation, and sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with geriatric patients while respecting dietary needs and restrictions.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating per dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Serve meals with professionalism while adhering to dietary restrictions and special requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas following food safety standards.
• Operate ovens, dishwashers, and food handling tools safely and efficiently.
• Support meal delivery, bussing tables, and cleaning duties to uphold sanitation standards.
• Adhere to manual handling protocols during heavy lifting or movement of supplies and equipment.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety compliance.
• Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs.
• Implement workplace safety practices, including the use of PPE.
