Job summary

Avon Health Center is seeking a dietary aide to prepare and serve meals in a family-owned, friendly nursing home setting. You will report to the Director of Dining Services in a FULL TIME role that includes every other weekend and some holidays.

The position pays $17.50/hour plus weekend differential when applicable and offers benefits. You will assist with food prep, dishwashing, delivery to residents, and support catering events at the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Help prepare food and meals

• Assist with special catering events at facility
• Assist in kitchen as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Work independently and as a team player
• Communicate well
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, and staff
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May have to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions
• Must be able to work every other weekend and some holidays as needed by department
• Must be reliable - our facility does not close for inclement weather; we are open 365 days a year

EXPERIENCE:
