Job summary

AVON HEALTH CENTER in West Avon, CT seeks a Dietary Aide for a per diem role in a family-owned nursing home setting. You will help prepare and serve meals, report to the Director of Dining Services, and support daily dining operations.

As dietary aide, you will help to prepare and serve food in a family-owned, friendly nursing home setting. You will report to the Director of Dining Services. This is a PER DIEM position.

$17.50/hour plus weekend differential if applicable

Duties Include (but not limited to):

• Help prepare food and meals
• Wash/clean dishes and washroom duties
• Deliver food to facility residents
• Assist with special catering events at facility
• Assist in kitchen as needed

Additional Qualifications:

• Work independently and as a team player
• Communicate well
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, and staff
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May have to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions
• Must be able to work every other weekend and some holidays as needed by department
• Must be reliable

EXPERIENCE:

Experience preferred but will train the right candidate!
