Job summary

Gallatin Nursing & Rehab is seeking a dietetic aide to assist in daily meal service and kitchen operations. You will set up meal trays, help with serving, wash dishes, and keep counters and equipment clean and sanitary.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read procedures and recipes, and the ability to follow instructions from the cook and dietary supervisor. A food handlers' certificate is required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe water temperatures of dishwasher during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
