Job summary

Midtown Oaks Post Acute is seeking a part-time on-call Dietary Aide in California. You will learn the food service routines, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and keep the kitchen clean and sanitary.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, checking water temperature and chlorine levels, preparing nourishments, and supporting the dietary supervisor and cook as needed.

Qualifications

• Read technical procedures.
• Read and follow recipes.
• Able to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain clean work areas.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks and sweep/mop the kitchen.
• Carry out trash and store groceries safely.
• Assist with training dietary staff and cooperate with all departments.
