Job summary

Cherrywood Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in daily kitchen operations, including meal tray setup, serving, and dishwashing. The role requires learning the food service routine quickly, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, and supporting the dietary supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Operate the dishwasher and monitor chlorine concentration and water temperature.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen; clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Carry out trash and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
