SANANTONIOWEST is seeking a dietary aide to support daily kitchen operations in a health-care or facility setting. The role involves learning the food service routine quickly, assisting with meal service, and maintaining sanitary conditions.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, food preparation, cabinet and surface cleanliness, and safe storage of groceries. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to follow recipes and procedures, and a food handlers' certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Ability to read technical procedures and communicate with managers.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine within a short period.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles and operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen; carry out trash and garbage.
• Store groceries safely; maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
