Job summary

SOUTHHILLS in is seeking a dietary aide to support daily food service operations in the kitchen area. You will learn the standard routines quickly, assist with serving meals, and help with dishwashing and sanitation tasks under supervision.

The role requires the ability to read procedures and follow recipes, and to work cooperatively with staff across departments. High school diploma or equivalent is required and a food handlers' certificate may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must learn food service routine within a short period.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform daily food service tasks and dishwashing routines.
• Assist with serving meals and preparing nourishments and snacks.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature on dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, surfaces, refrigerators and floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
