About Us

A family-owned business since 1955, purchased in partnership by Eastern Maine Health Systems and First Atlantic Healthcare in 2013, Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has offered quality care to the elderly in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and surrounding area communities. We are well known for our care and continue this tradition with pride. Since 1972, we have been located in our modern 93-bed facility on Guilford Road in Dover-Foxcroft, providing high-quality care services continuously. Under the ownership of First Atlantic Healthcare, we uphold a reputation for excellence in long-term care.

This position is a Part to Full Time Dietary Aide - flexibility in scheduling is required. Must be able to work alternating weekends. Shifts include 5:30 am - 2 pm, 10:30 am - 7 pm, 12:00 pm - 7:30 pm, and 1:00 pm - 7:30 pm. There is potential for additional hours and advancement for motivated individuals. Dietary Aide Job Summary

No prior experience necessary; training will be provided!

As part of a dedicated care team, your primary responsibilities include providing excellent service and maintaining residents’ health and safety through our food and nutrition program. Dietary Aides are health professionals who prepare and serve meals to residents, working alongside Dietary Managers and Cooks to assist in food preparation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing meals, snacks, and beverages following specific procedures
  • Serving meals while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
  • Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
  • Staying current with facility procedures and state regulations
  • Setting up and cleaning dining areas, assisting with kitchen maintenance

A dietary aide is an excellent entry point into food services or healthcare, with opportunities to learn additional responsibilities such as cooking, managing supplies, or advancing into roles like C.N.A., nurse, or activities professional.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old.
