Job summary

Sycamore Trails Post Acute is looking for a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations in our kitchen. Responsibilities include setting up meal trays, assisting with meal service, and cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary environment.

The role requires reading procedures, following recipes, and basic math for portions. A food handlers’ certificate is preferred. The position emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food handlers’ certificate required.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and recipes.
• Ability to interpret written instructions and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Keep groceries organized and kitchen clean.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
