Job summary

Sullivan Park Care Center is seeking a dietary aide to support meal service and kitchen operations. You will learn routine tasks quickly, help set up trays, and keep the kitchen clean and sanitary.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, recording water chemistry, and assisting with staff training. The role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to dietary and safety guidelines in a care facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of kitchen.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and observe sanitation standards.
• Assist with training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
