Job summary

Stoney Point Healthcare Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and kitchen operations. You will learn the food service routine, set up meal trays, assist with serving, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to present information to managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Learn the food service routine quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwasher.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Keep kitchen clean and sanitary; assist cook or dietary supervisor.
• Attend orientation and ongoing training for dietary staff.
• Cooperate with personnel across departments.
