Job summary

Ojai Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Aide for full-time shifts. You will learn the daily food service routine, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

The role requires ability to follow recipes and maintain records of dishwashing temperatures and chlorine levels. Responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, stocking groceries, and supporting the dietary supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Able to learn food service routine quickly and follow recipes.
• Strong reading and comprehension of technical procedures.
• Good mathematical skills for fractions, percentages and portions.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Operate dishwasher and monitor wash temperatures.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop floors and maintain kitchen sanitation.
• Assist with orientation and training of dietary staff.
