Sunset Villa Post Acute in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and kitchen operations. This role reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor and offers an hourly wage starting at $18.00 DOE.

You will learn the food service routines, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen. A high school diploma is required and a food handlers' certificate must be obtained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly and accurately.
• Set up meal trays for service.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals to residents.
• Check and record dishwasher water temperature and chlorine levels.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Keep kitchen clean; sweep and mop floors.
• Carry out trash and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Support orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Collaborate with Cook and Dietary Supervisor and other departments.
