Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a full-time dietary services team member to prepare and serve meals for patients and staff in a hospital setting. This role includes stocking pantries, maintaining sanitation, and delivering trays to patients with proper identification protocols.

You will operate dishroom equipment and cafe registers, document temperatures, and support overall kitchen operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills and be able to communicate in English.
• Good customer service skills required.
• Computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Physical ability to perform designated job required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
