Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida, is seeking a patient dining aide to guide meals, verify orders, and deliver trays per therapeutic diets. This role supports patient satisfaction, works with nursing staff, and requires routine rounds and strong customer service in a hospital setting.

The position involves long walking periods, standing, and potentially 12-hour shifts; candidates should be team-oriented, reliable, and comfortable with iPad/ToughBook technology. Training provided.

Qualifications

• English communication is required.
• Ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone professionally and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with common software and hardware (e.g., iPad, ToughBook).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the meal ordering process using a computerized diet office system; ensure selections align with prescribed diets and enhance satisfaction with personalized suggestions.
• Verify patient identifiers during meal delivery and ensure tray accuracy; confirm patients have everything they need before leaving the room.
• Assemble and deliver trays according to therapeutic diet guidelines and presentation standards; maintain timely and accurate service across patient areas.
• Round on patients and nursing staff to identify and resolve foodservice concerns and implement service recovery to improve patient experience scores.

Job Description:
