Job summary

AdventHealth in Palm Coast, FL is seeking a part-time Food Service Associate to prepare and serve meals to patients, maintain pantry cleanliness, and ensure safe handling of food per standards. You will support tray delivery and patient care with accuracy and courtesy.

Qualifications include basic math, English communication, and customer service. Proficiency in MS Office is preferred; physical ability to perform tasks is required. High school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals on tray lines, record temperatures, deliver trays to patients per protocol.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean and organized; use chemicals safely.
• Operate dishroom and cafe registers; process transactions accurately; monitor sanitation logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have basic math skills and able to communicate in English.
• Good customer service skills required.
• Computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Physical ability to perform designated job required.

Education:

High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

Work Experience:

1+ experience in food service experience in hospitality or healthcare industry. [Preferred]

Pay Range:
