Job summary

Pearl of Elk Grove is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals and timely service. You will help set up dining areas, assist cooks, deliver meals, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards in a warm, home-like setting.

The ideal candidate has prior dietary aide experience, knowledge of sanitation guidelines, and strong communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is expected, with food service certification considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide and customer service background.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines for food service.
• Ability to prepare meals following instructions and use kitchen equipment.
• Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Physical fitness and stamina for a fast-paced setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under guidance of a dietary manager or cook, following safety standards.
• Deliver dishes and trays promptly to designated rooms and times.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing dining areas and collecting plates and utensils.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean, wash dishes, cooking equipment, and silverware.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and maintain inventory.
• Contribute to the upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
