Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Waterman is seeking a full-time dietary aide in Florida. The role focuses on preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals for residents and staff in the nursing center and at special events.

You will support the Cook under the Food Service Director's guidance and work within current guidelines and Solaris HealthCare policies. Applicants should be able to understand directions; reading abilities are desirable.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand directions required; Ability to read, desirable.
• Not required but preferred experience.

Responsibilities

• General responsibilities related to food preparation, service and cleanup for meals.
• Assist Cook as directed by the Food Service Director.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations and dining areas.
• Prepare and label nourishments and deliver to resident areas.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads and beverages; pour drinks.
• Follow Production sheets and Pre-Preparation Guides; use proper handwashing technique.
• Complete work assignments and maintain sanitation and food safety standards.

Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform a variety of tasks usually not requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean-up for meals served to residents and staff in the nursing center and other special events, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and Solaris HealthCare’s established policies and procedures.
