Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Waterman in Tavares, FL is seeking a full-time dietary aide to assist with meal preparation, service, and cleanup for residents and staff. The role requires following federal, state, and local guidelines and Solaris HealthCare policies while supporting a compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• Food service knowledge and ability to follow guidelines.
• Basic sanitation and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• General responsibilities in food service and service to residents and staff.
• Assist Cook as directed by the Food Service Director.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from stations.
• Prepare and portion nourishments and desserts; label and deliver.
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guides; maintain sanitation.
• Support meal service, safety, and administrative duties.

Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform a variety of tasks usually not requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean-up for meals served to residents and staff in the nursing center and other special events, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and Solaris HealthCare’s established policies and procedures.

• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes. Pours beverages.
• Follows Production sheets and Pre-Preparation Guides.
• Uses proper handwashing technique and frequency.
• Completes work assignments.
